How Johnson & Johnson nurtures a culture of tolerance through diversity and inclusion
By Said Haddad, Ethicon EMEA, Vice President
At Johnson & Johnson, we are part of an increasingly diverse global workforce, connecting and collaborating with colleagues from various cultures and backgrounds. Embracing this diversity is engrained in our company values through our Credo, our policies and our Diversity and Inclusion strategy. We see it as an essential part of a successful business environment which leads to more creative, effective and innovative outcomes. But it requires a concerted and intentional effort as well as an inclusive culture which views diversity as a strength.
To discuss the topic in more detail, and highlight how Johnson & Johnson fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion, I have been invited to take part in the World Tolerance Summit in Dubai on the 13th and 14th November. The session will cover subjects such as the development of an inclusive business strategy through emphasizing the role of women. Having lived in the UK, Germany, and the US before moving to Dubai, I have witnessed the diversity of the J&J workforce and our interesting and varied backgrounds. Joining me on the panel at the event are esteemed speakers including:
- Tine Arentsen Willumsen, Chief Executive Officer of Above & Beyond, Founder of Diversity Council, Denmark
- Jabeer Butt, Chief Executive Officer Race Equality Foundation, United Kingdom
- Claudia Massei, Chief Executive Officer Siemens, Sultanate of Oman
- Saudamini Dubey, Managing Director, Accenture Digital Accenture, India
If you’d like to follow my participation at the conference, my session will run from 3pm – 5:30pm local Dubai time on Wednesday 13th November.
If you haven’t already, please take this opportunity to review our Diversity & Inclusion Impact review which highlights the programmes we have in place to support diversity and inclusion at Johnson & Johnson.
