Angel's Story
What was life like before joint replacement?
My life before joint replacement surgery caused me to stop going to the gym, walking, and exercising.
What was the moment you knew you needed to move ahead with surgery?
I realized I needed to get joint replacement surgery when the weight gain from non-movement made the situation worse, and I needed to feel good again.
What is life like now?
Joint replacement surgery is the best thing I ever did! I bought a FitBit and walked 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day. I returned to the gym and used the elliptical and circuit training machines. I can do anything I want, and I feel 10 years younger.
What information do you have that would help others considering joint replacement?
Definitely go to physical therapy! Learning to use those muscles before surgery will help with the recovery.
