"Surgery Was the Best Thing I Could Have Done"
I had a boulder roll on my legs 10 years before my surgery, and my hip became dislocated. Arthritis developed, and 10 years later I had both hips replaced. During the last 2-3 years, I had gradually stopped going for walks with my husband, biking, hiking, and doing household chores.
The turning point for me was when I started giving up everyday things like walking, biking, hiking, and chores.
Having joint replacement surgery was the best thing I could have done, and I wish I would have done it earlier... like 2-3 years before. Recovery was great, I only took one Tylenol the first night after surgery. There was some pain, but it wasn't that bad, and I was driving again within 10-11 days.
