Rich's Story
What was life like before joint replacement?
Before undergoing joint replacement surgery, I hadn't given up any of my activities, but they became very difficult.
What was the moment you knew you needed to move ahead with surgery?
My turning point in deciding to move ahead with surgery was just timing. I always knew I would need it, but the timing wasn't right before.
How has joint replacement changed your life?
Life now is good. I am able to walk longer distances, and my golf game has gotten better since having joint replacement surgery. I know that my rehab has never stopped because that's what has given me my strength back.
What information do you have that would help others considering joint replacement?
I am having my left knee done, so I am training my left knee with the rehab I did for my right knee, which is advice I would give. I want my left knee to be as strong as possible to help with my rehab and to have a quicker recovery.
