"I Started Dancing Again"
Before having my knees replaced I had constant pain in both knees. It hurt when climbing steps, walking, hiking, and exercising. I had to stop dancing. I tried injections three times, but there was nothing else for me to do. I still maintained exercising as much as I could.
I still have some knee swelling, especially when I exercise or stay on my feet for more than 8 hours, but I have regained 98% mobility and started dancing again.
My advice to others is to discuss an exercise program with your doctor. Listen carefully and do everything the physical therapist tells you to do. Most of all, maintain a positive attitude throughout your recovery. Because of my positive attitude, I was able to recover from having bilateral knee replacements and returned to work after 3 months.
